One of the complaints I most often hear from my readers (other than I killed the boy off in Statistic) is that Incinerator Boy is, by far, way too short, and is something I wholeheartedly agree with, which is why the story ends with the words "to be continued". The fact of the matter is that Incinerator Boy was actually a complete novel that I poured not only my whole heart into, but a very significant chunk of my life as well. Literally thousands of hours. But unfortunately, the vast majority of the story was lost due to file corruption, and the only part that could be salvaged and was, became Incinerator Boy. The original story, called Tears For Maggie, was, according to the few people that got the opportunity to read it, the best work I have ever produced. The event was such an incredible set back in my life that I stayed depressed over the loss for a good long time, to the point that I could not come to terms with the idea of rewriting it. That is, until I spoke with a friend recently who convinced me that it was too important of a story not to write, and I agreed. It is, without a doubt, a story someone needs to write, and if I don't do it, it won't get done. So there you have it.
At any rate, if you loved Incinerator Boy, which everyone does, you will Love Tears for Maggie even more. Look for the story to be completed sometime this year.
